…without too many pranks.
Looks like everyone is too caught up in their own troubles to really partake in the nonsense.
Being this is the beginning of a new month, I have set up a few new projects for myself, trying new software, new techniques, we’ll see how it goes.
Been talking with quite a few old friends that I had lost contact with in all my moves, but we just fall right back in place. All the rough edges smooth over in time and the fit is easy now. Better.
Received an awesome gift in the mail from my friend, Tracy in Hollywood, she made a mix-tape, but instead of burning to a CD, she loaded up an iPod and sent the whole deal. Fantastic!
Believe she may have created the next new service. My niece told me she has an iPod and knowing her a lil’ bit, I asked do you own a Mac? No, she said. Well how do you load your songs? I don’t, it has the same 15 songs since I got it.
Imagine a Netflix thing where you mail your iPod to a place that loads your list of songs and mails it back to you. People that unfortunately don’t own Macs can still get fresh playlists.
Hung out with two good radio friends yesterday talking about music and podcasts and HD Radio and Keith Moon and all sorts of stuff. It was great!
Talked with a very nice girl who paints and sells her stuff on Etsy. She’s very prolific! None of her work goes for more than $80 and she seems to be doing good.
Way back in the day when I lived in Dallas, I got to know a guy that had access to really cheap 12×12 “Red Label” cotton duck canvas over stretcher bars, for I bet $1 a piece!
He would go to paint stores and hardware stores and buy the cheap cans of house paint that had been opened or was overstock and he made these abstract works and sold them for $40 bucks each!
Guess he must have sold over 25,000 of these, because he became a Millionaire from those little square paintings.
Recently I found some pictures of old paintings I used to do and sell. Not bad! I hated them at the time, but now it’s different. I need to paint more!
